Fashion: Is It Good To Be on The Peak? 1 123

Everyone wants to go with the times, but time changes. And fashion changes as well. And along with the fashion people and their idols, consciousness and life itself change. Fashion has (and has always had) an incredible impact on the lifestyle of modern women. Every women want to dress in a good taste, but not all of them are able to do so. There are women who are on the peak of fashion, but there are those who are trying to get used to fashion gradually, and by this time it becomes obsolete.
We live in a perfect time when it isn't required to follow all the fashion trends; fashion today is more elegant and democratic then it was before. There is no need to completely change your wardrobe every season, it's perfectly acceptable to be aware of seasonal novelties and be able to apply these new items, reflecting your own taste and style. It's a great boon for us that fashion is independent and free of the age criteria and class prejudice now.
For the sake of fashion, which changes, women are ready to fit to standards not only fashionable clothes and accessories, but their face and even figure! When fashion demanded a high forehead all women completely shaved their eyebrows, eyelashes and hair nearly half a head taller (you can verify this looking at Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa')! When a pallor was needed, every self-respecting lady drank vinegar. For a long time corset was a constant companion of fashion. It could make a thin waist, hips, high and lush or flat chest, sloping shoulders.
Now here ts shoulder pads, special cups for breast enhancement; high heels lengthen legs... Blindly following the fashion trends one will lose one's individuality and be merged with the total mass. To avoid this every woman should find her own taste and likings.
Fashion is not a principle or policy to follow blindly. But it is the excellent way to cultivate our own good and meritorious way to follow rather than imitating blindly others.

When people read fashion blogs do they want more text or merely images? ------

When people read fashion blogs do they want more text or merely images?

When it comes to fashion, people will always have an insatiable appetite for images.  I know that when I read about a certain shoe or handbag, I always want to be able to see an image of the product and, ironically, the more in-depth it's described, the more I want to see a photo!  For this reason, I think that sadly people do want to see more images.

However, images on their own don't allow for the bigger picture.  So many blogging networks are full of images which don't credit the photographer or even the designer!  I feel that at the very least, captions should be included with this information, where possible.

Written pieces on fashion are important, they give a social, cultural and historic context to the visuals we are presented with.  I like to know where a designer has come from, their influences and whether they're conforming to current trends or being fashion forward, leading the pack.  So many catwalks are styled in a way which wouldn't be wearable on a day-to-day basis - see Christopher Kane's Spring/Summer 2011 neons - so I feel a written breakdown of trends can be important.

Finally, I think having an individual voice as a blogger is important.  I've just started my own fashion and wine blog, and I'm hoping the majority of it will be original content (easier in writing than images when it comes to fashion).  Anyone can reblog the same image, the same quote, the same screencap - so what's to stop people looking elsewhere for those images instead of on your blog?  No one will write exactly the same things as you so even if you have the same images, you can give your blog an individual identity through words.

One of the most hyped fashion bloggers is teenager Tavi and it's her individual voice which sets her apart from others.  Although she posts a lot of photos, there is rarely a post without a written paragraph or two, so an argument for writing lies there.
